Far Fetched Acres is a dog boarding camp for NYC dogs! Our securely fenced in and double gated acre dog run provides hours of supervised off- leash play and enjoyment. Dogs are welcome to stay and play or learn new behaviors with our board and train program.

Want to tackle some dog training hurdles or basic obedience? Sign up dog training camp with our Board and Train program! It’s like dog boarding school. Upon your dog’s return home, we will provide a private dog training lesson, a detailed write up and videos for you to practice and hone your new dog training skills.

The physical and mental health of your dog is our top priority.
Our newly constructed carriage house is both radiant heated and air-conditioned.
Our campers receive an appropriate level exercise, ensuring quiet nap times between play sessions. For safety and to ensure quality rest, all dogs eat and sleep in their own suite or crate. Through a Dog’s Ear music is played all day to promote relaxation. Our guests receive daily body inspections and grooming (and lots of butt scratches and belly rubs!) All dogs receive a complimentary bath upon departure.

We do require daily naps between play sessions to maintain a well-balanced, healthy dog. Our goal is to provide our fur guests with adequate restorative rest as well as ample play and exercise. We also provide fluffy beds, chew toys (with permission) and fetch galore.

DROP OFF
We offer complimentary curbside pick up and drop off in Manhattan on Mondays and Thursdays. If you require an alternative day, a custom drive can be coordinated at $295 weekdays, or $345 for weekends, rush hour and holidays. This is a direct cost to our service provider at no mark up. Be sure to read our Policies page for all information about pick up and drop off.

Can I visit Far Fetched Acres before my dog comes to visit?
You are welcome to visit Far Fetched Acres before deciding to board your dog with us. Please contact us to schedule a visit Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. We will work your visit around the exercise and nap schedule of our current guests.
How do we coordinate the pick up?
For complimentary pick up and drop off, we will assign you a 1 hour window two days in advance of your dog’s stay or return home. The general pick up/drop off schedule always falls between 11:00-3:00pm on Mondays and Thursdays. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate specific time requests for our complimentary pick up/drop off service. Custom rides are coordinated on an as needed basis seven days weekly.
What should my dog bring to Far Fetched Acres?
Food,collar and leash! If you dog is on medication, of course we need those too. Feel free to send along a tshirt or something or special treats.
My dog prefers not to be with other dogs. Is Far Fetched Acres dog boarding a good match?
If your dog does not regularly socialize with other dogs on the streets, in daycare or at the dog run, we believe Far Fetched Acres would be overwhelming for your dog. This is a very social environment. The best solution for your pet would be a pet sitter.
My dog is nervous around people. Is Far Fetched Acres a good match?
We want our guests to feel safe and confident in our care. We MUST touch, groom, and handle our guests daily for their safety and health. If you have a dog who is nervous around people and would prefer not to be touched, we believe our boarding would be overwhelming for a shy dog.
What are your holiday periods and fees?
A $10.00 fee per day is added to the following weekends and time periods. Christmas and New Years – 2 week period, President’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, March Spring Break, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Last two weeks of August through Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving.

All dogs must be both people and dog friendly.
All cancellations must be made 72 hours in advance to avoid
charges (1/2 the total stay).
For holiday periods cancellations must be made 14 days in
advance (full stay to be charged for late cancellation).
If your pup is currently on ANY medication, you must notify
us 72 hours BEFORE your pick up time. It is necessary that
you let us know what medication is being administered and
WHY your dog is currently taking medications.
We reserve the right to speak with your veterinarian
regarding the health of your dog.
Your dog must be current on all vaccinations.
